'We enjoyed the treehouse. I wish we had gotten precise directions to the treehouse before arrival. It would’ve been super easy to find if we had just had some directions. We had three nights with wind and the treehouse was definitely very creaky, the noise kept us up for most of the 3 nights.. some tree yeah branches were slamming against the house that kept us up . We loved the little kitchen downstairs that was very welll equipped and a good place to wake up in the morning.'

'Yes, very refreshing.'

'Baliyana Lodge is a slice of paradise - beautifully landscaped grounds among the native trees on a hillside overlooking a valley towards the ocean. Remote but only 15 mins to the beach and 25 mins to Tamarindo. The hosts could not have been nicer, wonderful, healthy breakfast included, quiet, peaceful and serene location. The three cozy bungalows are comfortably appointed with understated elegance and simple luxury. A/C, awesome tile shower with great water pressure, plenty of shelving, nice...

'Beautiful area, good kitchen. You do need 4x4 to get up to it. Wi-Fi was our biggest issue. The slow connection made it hard to work. '

'Location was good, looked forward to it. But the place was completely unacceptable. Everything was filthy. No dish towels to contemplate cleaning the dirty dishes. That didn't matter much, the fridge wouldn't cool anything. Sinks were filthy. Shower area filthy. Weird electrical buzzing noise. Air conditioning was useless. Doesn't matter, the second bed in the main living area was impossible to even attempt to cool as there was no way to close the windows completely in all but the bedroom. There...

'I will miss the views, their delicious breakfast and coffee every morning, but most of all their kindness. Thank you for making our trip unforgettable. Hope to come back soon! '

'Our host Jason went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay at his place. We had support in getting to use a local pool, with groceries and transportation to our next location to mention a few. If you need local insights and super hospitality then go with Jason. The location is in a quiet local neighbourhood and it feels safe to have kids running around outside. Walking to the beach is possible, but can be a bit hard for little ones up to 4 years old (especially considering the heat). Go to...
