'This retreat in the village was tranquil and restorative. The traditional japanese room with private onsen bath was the perfect complement to arriving from Tokyo and restorative after a day of rafting and canyooning (shout out to NOAC). The half board option was a great addition. Breakfast and dinner menus were exciting, sophisticated and simoky delicious. The staff are attentive to detail, accomodating and very polite. Thanks for the wonderful stay.'

'The hotel is old, it gives the feeling you've travelled back in time. We booked the hotel to experience classic room with futon beds. The view from the room was very nice. Breakfast / dinner buffet was fine. The room came with kimono / yukata and quite a lot of people were wearing them in the restaurant too. We had a non-smoking room. The room smelled a bit, but this is just from wooden materials in the room in combination with the hot weather. It certainly did not smell like someone had...
