'We loved our stay at Rose and Crown! The staff were so friendly. Our room had so much character, and was bigger than we would have expected. It was quite comfortable and surprisingly quiet (we were there midweek on a slightly rainy day). We also ate at the pub and really enjoyed our meal. We would stay again!'

'Our first impression with the staff was unexpected! We’d just arrived to drop off our luggage and the gentleman at the front desk offered to take our luggage to the room as we were crunched for time. A cab was waiting to take us to Highclere. Our room was cozy, clean and exceptionally stocked with clean towels, tea kettle, delicious coffee and tea. Dinner was great, with plenty of beer and wine options. Breakfast was outstanding along with the cafe latte and flat white. If we ever travel to this...

'It is always a pleasure to stay here. The suite has adequate space for a couple. Very clean well looked after with en suite shower room. Food available in the inn - excellent, delicious Thai. Can either eat in the bar or restaurant. We just had to stay a night and have a meal on our way home from a tour round England.'

'We had big problems when we arrived at 18.00 hrs; it lasted about 1 hr before the host arrived for the check in. The reason was that the Flying Bull closes on Sunday at 17.00 hr and we were asked to contact by telephone, but our efforts unfortunately failed. We had to ask help from Expedia, but a leaving guest could help us at last. Anyhow the room and brakfast were at least satyfying.'

'What a great place! Nice room, the only issue would be a cream colour carpet in the room thant shows stains from walking outside. The staff were just fantastic and the breakfast and dinning experience were excellent. Thank you to all!'
