'It’s nostalgic to me as we went there when I was a child and later took my kids there when they were small. The place looks almost exactly like it did 25 years ago. Some extra wood nailed in here and there to make it safe to walk. Lots of areas where one could easily trip.
One problem; they said they were no longer dealing with Expedia and charged me extra for taxes they say Expedia didn’t collect. I want to look into this because it seems “fishy” to me.'

'Our room was very well decorated -- more creative and tasteful than most hotel rooms. Our particular room did not smell good, though. Hopefully, it was an isolated problem. Room for improvement: I think they should include valet parking in the price of the room. Free parking is included, but it is down the street on the other side of the road from the hotel. As a customer, it would "feel" a whole lot better not to be caught off guard by that.'

'Mooi gelegen hotel langs onze roadtrip aan de oostkust. We waren met drie personen en hadden een kamer met dubbele bedden geboekt. De kamer zelf was boven verwachting ruim en compleet. Wat wel tegenviel was de staat van de bank, daar zakte je half doorheen, en de vloer was plakkerig en vochtig. Mogelijk iets met de aurco of overnatig zeepgebruik bij schoonmaken. Helaas iets waar we pas achter kwamen nadat we ons hadden gesettled. Omdat we maar één nacht bleven hebben we dit door de vingers...

'Very clean. All the amenities one might need and having a kitchenette was helpful. I have mobility issues and everyone on the staff was incredibly helpful.
There are a couple tips I would like to leave. For others with mobility issues, the trek to the beach was arduous. I found easy access to the beach on 3rd Street in Emerald Isle which is not far away. There’s parking, a ramp, and a very short walk with no steps.
And for the owners of Beacon, I would suggest leaving instructions for the air...
