'Our efficiency room is large, clean and comfortable. The daily breakfast was super… kudos to the lady that takes care of the breakfast buffet, she’s on top of things and managing her responsibilities effectively - thank you for that! Though, I do have one negative comment, it’s the elevator - too slow , too small and the hotel only has one elevator. Oh, did I mention the elevator jerks when stopping.'

'Two of the women who were working on the front desk were very pleasant and helpful to us - Jordan, who helped us with a remote that was stuck and the door to the deck that was stuck and Jo who helped us with wonderful recommendations and helped us figure out how to get over to the beach in the afternoon so we could sit and read… then we had a great discussion about YA literature!!'

'I loved this place. There was an update in 2016 and someone made the mistake of getting white carpet. Live and learn. The bed was comfortable, there was a variety of pillows, the tavern shuts down at 9:00 so its all quiet by 11:00 p.m. The tavern is superb. I’d eat there again in a heartbeat. The place is old and has some quirks and that’s something that you either like because you like historical places or you don’t because you like modern things. I’d stay here again. '
