'Stayed with a friend, visiting Gaping Gill. Good size twin room. Very comfortable and quiet. Slept very well, not disturbed at all. Breakfast standard buffet and cooked. Staff really friendly, professional and helpful. Lovely garden at the rear. Didn't eat at the hotel.'

'We spent a night at the Wheatsheaf, to break the long drive from Scotland to Berkshire. Our room, although not huge, was clean, with crisp, white bed linen on a very comfy bed, and with lovely views of the pretty village church. Although warned about the frequent bell ringing, it did not disturb us in any way. Nice, white towels were provided in the shower room. Lucy and her team couldn't have been more welcoming, efficient, and helpful. It was convenient to be able to enjoy our evening...
