With my wife's allergies, we could not stay & had to book a hotel room elsewhere, that cost us a lot more money & was further from Lucas Oil Stadium, where we were attending the Final Four, which was a surprise for my wife for her birthday. 'We spent four nights in this sweet carriage house, just a block away from our son’s home. It was super clean, comfortable and enough space for the two of us to enjoy a cup of coffee before heading out for the day. It had everything we needed to comfortably live for a few days. It had a very nice kitchen with dishes, a Keurig, toaster, full size microwave, stove/oven, refrigerator, washer/dryer, two good sized tv’s…everything you could possibly want or need. 'The house was beautiful overall. However, there were a few issues. Both rooms smelled like animal urine, and the carpet looked like it needed cleaning. This, combined with my allergies, made it difficult to sleep. The bed was also dirty When I first walked in, the house smelled like an animal had just left. Despite these problems, the neighborhood was very quiet, and the neighbors didn’t bother us. The host was also helpful.'

'Nice place. Everything located just blocks away. Host was extremely attentive to needs and questions. Very nice neighbors offered assistance if we needed anything (one of us still recovering from a broken leg). Lots of extra touches like water and snacks, lots of towels, blankets and extra pillows. Quick to respond about a minor leak at kitchen faucet. Only suggestion we had was that all of the beds are that soft memory foam mattresses. Would be nice if one of the bedrooms would have had or...

'We had a bit of a hiccup upon arrival -- the code wasn't sent ahead of time and we had a bit of a challenge trying to connect with Jeff, but the team at VRBO helped us navigate it and we were able to get in. It was important for us to get in right on time because we had tickets to the Big Ten women's basketball tournament at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. We were grateful to have found a property that let us bring our dogs and had a safe, fenced backyard. '
