'Secluded cottage on the water. The host were fantastic. The view from the cottage is beautiful looking at the water and the birds. My sons brought their kayaking gear and kayak on the water. Just a great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle.'

'The sunrises across the sound are incredibly amazing. If that was not enough the house has the newest appliances, great layout, and 200 plus degrees of water views from the dining room table. It is ideally located for a peaceful and restorative vacation from reality. Working remotely from the dining room table was the best location yet. Thanks for the opportunity to return to my high school regional area and deepen my appreciation for the waters I miss dearly.'

'This is our 16th year vacationing at Hay Beach, but our first time staying at this property. The house is very confrontable and the layout is great, plenty of room for our family, 3 couples. The second level deck was the hangout, beautiful views of the sun rises with morning coffee, watching large pods of dolphins swimming 30 yards off the beach, eagles flying overhead and cocktails every evening. The guys fished from kayaks while the girls laid in the sun on the deck every day ... great...

Tom and Mette’s cottage is a slice of Heaven on the Northern Neck - a rustic but very liveable, well equipped and comfortable home that reminded me of vacations at the shore with my grandparents decades ago. Love the yard and the incomparable views of the mouth of the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay. I’m very much looking forward to my next visit!'

'We stayed for our Thanksgiving this year, Wednesday-Saturday. It was splendid. The house is charming, highly comfortable, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The view from the housen is breathtaking, and there is so much yard space to enjoy outdoor activities, including the swing set up right on the tree by the back porch. My kids loved the swing! So much fun. The other outside features and accessories were also great. We had a nice fire in the firepit by the water, and did smores...

'This place is absolutely beautiful With amazing Views it is right on the water The last house on the road.. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is very spacious, had everything we needed. The host was very accommodating and responded immediately with any questions. I highly recommend staying here. We found this place last minute. When our other arrangements fell through and im so happy they did because this was closer and just perfect for our family.'

'We were in the area for a family wedding so spent most of our time away from the cottage. It provided a welcome morning and evening retreat, sun (or even clouds) over the water. We could have enjoyed many hours sitting in the "sun room" if we hadn't been pulled away to other activities. It was all lovely and easy. Suggest owners install a grab bar for the tub/shower. That tile step is dangerous, especially when wet.'

'The quiet neighborhood, the beautiful river view, the abundance of waterfowl and other birds made this just the relaxing getaway we were looking for. I was especially thrilled to make my first sighting of a pileated woodpecker. We also appreciated how well supplied the house was with everything we could need. We will be back!'

'From the moment we booked until the moment we checked out, Beach Club far exceeded our expectations! The home itself had more than enough space for 14 people of varying ages, and the outbuildings provided a plethora of activities for diverse interests. The second-storey gazebo was a particular favorite, as was the 12-seat movie theater (with reclining and massage chairs!), and the very well-equipped clubhouse. Beach Club's amenities delivered in every category - design, comfort, and function....
