'Friendly and professional staff. Wonderful evening meal (the Halloumi Flatbread was delicious). Good parking, spacious bedroom well appointed. The chilled complimentary fruit juice & water was much appreciated after a 400 mile journey! My only issue was that room 4 was right over the outside seating area and I can only imagine that during World Cup season this could prove to be a problem. As it was I did have the creaking stairs (access for all guests) and loud music blasting from the bar below...

'This small hotel is located next to the River Wyre and has some lovely rooms. I stayed 4 night with them at 75 pounds per night including breakfast. The room was very nice, with lovely large bed, view of the river and great shower. The room was recently re-done and has great wallpaper. The food is very good, the breakfast has some excellent old time favourites on the menu, like soft boiled eggs with soldiers, and porridge. But it is all home cooked and tastes very fresh and lovely. 'Room 1 is extremely small, but was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. There were too few staff. Service at dinner and the bar was very slow. Dinner wasn't as hot as it should have been. There was too much food on a small plate, I had to hunt under the chicken for my vegetables! Overall, it's quite expensive for food that although was delicious it wasn't hot and not served in a timely manner.'
