'Great place. It was even better than we expected!'

'遅めのチェックインが難しい'

'Lovely place to stay in an area of Kyoto that’s close to a few large, beautiful shrines. Really great room complemented by a wonderful, helpful staff. Would love to stay here again!'

'Great for solo travelers with a car. The covered parking is convenient and the staff was polite.'

'Beautiful room and scenery, we loved it!'

'Als familie van 4 personen, 2 volwassenen en 2 tieners, hebben wij een prima verblijf gehad. Wij verbleven in een 4 persoonskamer met gedeelde badkamer en toilet. In de gedeelde keuken kun je alles gebruiken. De Ryokan is typisch Japans en een leuke belevenis. Prima service. Prachtige tuin. Restaurant in het hoofdgebouw. Bushalte en supermarkt op loopafstand. Met de bus 20 minuten naar Kyoto Station.'

'We absolutely loved our stay at Enso, the rooms where emaculate and comfortable with all the required amenities. My favourite was the scented wooden tub to soak in after a day exploring the sites of Kyoto. We were so lucky to have the incredible staff Leo and Tetsu dealing with all our enquires and also providing us with local knowledge of places to see and eat at. Made our visit and stay in Kyoto that much more special! It is a strong recommend if you are considering staying here. It won't...

'The place is too small and cramped up but clean, no towel provided, need to pay extra to use the towel, and it was not indicated that the restroom/ bathroom is shared to the other tenants but it's ok for us since we just stayed 2 days. Walkable restaurants, convenient store, and walkable Shrine nearby. Train station is far so we need to ride taxi.'

'There were two Japanese well maintained gardens and stone paving hallway outside. They were beautiful and they made us feel very historical culture. The summer season in Kyoto is very uncomfortable to stay outside because of the hight temperature but, in this house, for some reason we could stay comfortably without air conditioner. It was a huge house but all the rooms were cleaned perfectly. Especially we were impressed with the bathroom. The high-tech toilets beautiful wooden bath tub made us...

'We had a fabulous 4 night stay at the Mogana Hotel in Kyoto. We stayed in room 701 which was spacious and had a balcony. The room was well appointed - water, juices, tea and coffee were replenished each day. The staff was very attentive and spoke very good English. We ordered the western style breakfast which was served in our room. It was beautifully presented and more importantly, delicious. There is a very small bar on the second floor that had small but good selection of wine and...

'Expensive breakfast and not worth the price- only negative. Hotel is within a cab ride of all attractions or a 20 minute walk. Staff are very friendly and hotel is clean and rooms are beautiful.'

'Loved our stay here. Staff knew enough english for us to get things we needed. The 5 private onsens are fantastic although first come first serve. We went twice in our one day/night stay and found 3pm and 6am to be no wait. Dinner and breakfast were well worth the value and loved the entire vibe/decor of the space. Located right off the train exit was a welcome convenience as well'

'Our room was clean and spacious. Finding it was a challenge for the local cab driver. The breakfast was just breads but I enjoyed the mugwort rolls! I’d recommend that they add a washer/dryer to some rooms. Also, the sleeping clothes were a little worn. Mine was missing an important button. The staff were friendly but it could be hard to communicate with them over the phone.'

'The property was absolutely beautiful and very spacious for our family of four. The hot bath was a treat, especially since I have a lot of tattoos and don't want to offend locals in an onsen. (I know there are tattoo-friendly onsens, but I couldn't find any in the area we were staying.) The breakfast was a delicious spread of vegan cuisine. The washer/dryer was essential for our visit. Five stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟'

'We stayed in Room number one. It was incredible. It was such a wonderful experience to stay in a historic building that had modern amenities and a lot of space. The room decorations and sliding doors were beautiful. The living room overlooks the garden. Everything was clean. It was nice to have the communal food area to grab coffee in the morning and a light meal. Be aware that the room entrance for the room is right next to the lobby. There are stairs to climb to get up to the room. We will...

'The Front desk and Concierge were amazing and set me up for an amazing Japan Adventure'
