'This is the second time we have stayed at the Bears Paw. booking was easy and Hotels.com very helpful in how to upgrade room. We initially booked a standard room at a very good price especially as it included breakfast, However the standard bedrooms have a shower over the bath and so anyone with mobility issues might find this difficult to access. We paid for an upgrade and what a wonderful Superior room it was. Huge with a long bathroom with bath and a double shower and beautifully soft towels...

'The rooms are very comfortable, interestingly decorated, and well equipped with plug outlets, etc. Only negative is that meal service ends at 8pm in the restaurant, and road traffic can be a bit loud (if you are sensitive).'

'A real find! A pub in the middle of rural Kettleshulme concealed an excellent restaurant and very comfortable rooms. The bedroom was very well equipped - including a built in toothbrush charger!'

'Dysfunctional shower. Water coming out of hose at the end of the unit meaning reduced water pressure from the shower head. (Can attach a video if needed) Apart from that, everything perfect. Fay(e) was very welcoming and above and beyond helpful. If shower was working 10/10. '

'Meerdere keren in dit hotel verbleven , goed eten, echter minstens 6 haren in bed, maar 1 stel handdoeken , en geen vloermat. Na doorgeven kregen we een andere kamer. Die bleek niet schoongemaakt. Volgende kamer, was schoon en goed. Kan gebeuren, maar het personeel geeft je het gevoe alsof het je eigen schuld is. Dat kan niet. Volgende ochtend weer een chagrijnige dame bij het ontbijt. Luisterde nkeg, en geeft je geen welkom gevoel. Uiteindelijk bij de manager aangegeven , hij zei tussen neus en...

'Stayed here 2 nights. The chef Elvis outdoes himself with Michelen star quality meals. The Crab Salad and Pork Rigatone were faultless. Best meals I have eaten in Europe. Friendly bar staff and spacious room with first class bathroom. Mattress needs replacing though.'

'The food was quite good, and like the room price, good value for money. Friendly staff. As in many UK hotels, a shower in a bath is also here, slippery and life-threatening.'

'Good property. Had everything except a hairdryer in the room. Two bottles of water, coffee machine, kettle and iron provided. Shower was lovely. Room got hot but there was a fan in the room. No lift but that was no issue for us. Our room was two flights of stairs up. Breckfast was nice except the bacon that was cooked in a well used pan so looked a bit off putting.
