'Beautiful units but view of a cod liver oil plant was not what we were expecting. Also felt people could look into our hillside unit (#4) from the conference center, the walking areas below and next hillside unit. When we booked it looked like we would have clear views of the water as opposed to the oil plant and restaurant building. Staff, cleanliness, breakfast all wonderful. 'It’s important to remember it’s a hostel so the bathrooms are separate and walking distance outdoors. The rooms are clean and the staff is excellent and very helpful. We didn’t have time to eat dinner but the prices at the hostel are extremely reasonable compared to other restaurants so it’s worth eating there instead of other places. The breakfast is typical Scandinavian so think continental with yogurt, bread, fruit, lunchmeat and cheeses.'

'I’m not sure how to explain the experience. It’s not a hotel and it’s not a lodge. The place is in miserable state but it might have charming atmosphere for some. Not for me and my family. We lived among the staff ! I think the best I can say is that there was warm water and enough of it. We arrived on a very cold day '
