'Het hotel ligt ca 5 min lopen van het station en heel gunstig tov de ferry. Gunstig voor degenen die de Shimanami route willen fietsen (fietsverhuur is om de hoek en Yamato (bagage transportservice) ligt op de begane grond. Ontbijt is heel uitgebreid. Mooi uitzicht op het water.'

'석식 조식 두 끼 포함된 숙박으로 묵었는데 밥이 정말 맛있어요. 시설이 다소 낡은 점, 방에는 화장실과 세면대만 있고 샤워와 목욕은 대욕장에서 하는 시스템인 것은 다소 불편하지만 전반적으로 깔끔하게 잘 관리되어 있고 그 나름대로 정취가 있습니다. 방에서 보이는 전망도 좋고요. 차를 이용할 수 있다면 근방에서 할 수 있는 가장 좋은 숙박 경험이라고 생각합니다.'

'I really loved this retro hotel on top of the mountainside. I had the mysterious looking onsen all to myself several times around 9-10 pm and it was so cool. The view is amazing and the food was very good. Just know that you are really in the countryside and to get to Onomichi it is going to take at least an hour using public transit. 'My daughter and I traveled to Japan for two weeks and stayed here in the middle of a 70K Shimanami Bike trip. I wish so much we'd booked an additional night. Of the seven hotels/ryokans we stayed during our trip, this was heads above all the others. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious and the ryokan was quite peaceful. The staff was wonderful- helpful and attentive. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to Japan and visit this area again, I'll return to this lovely property.'

We had a triple room, which worked well for us as the sliding screens separated two sleeping areas. Breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. We enjoyed watching the boats go by from our room... nice big windows! We used a luggage forwarding service to send our bags directly from this hotel to our next hotel in Imabari while we cycled the Shimanami Kaido. The staff helped us to organize this so it all went smoothly.'
