'The room was very clean and spacious, although a little dark, possibly due to the very high ceilings. Reception was quite helpful and friendly and had useful recommendations for local attractions. They allow late checkout if you request it and availability permits. The on-site mini golf course was a fun way to spend a little down time with the teens. There is also a homemade ice cream shop (Sweet Willows Creamery) a few minutes walk from the resort with traditional, vegan, and non-dairy options....

'This home was very unique and filled with charm! We loved learning the history of Haines Shoes and the history of the Shoe House. We found the home to have all the comforts of home away from home. The home is decorated beautifully, very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the family room is wonderful for relaxing in the evening. We did not have time for the hot tub and fire pit but hope to the next time we visit.'

'Communication with property owners was very fast. Property was very clean and exactly as described. The view was beautiful from the deck and the back windows. We even had a bald eagle tet in the pole and tree near our deck. Great place to rest and relax!!'

'From our inital check-in message to a quick text at 10 minutes after check-out to ask if I can come back to grab the Mother's Day cupcakes we left in the fridge, the owners were AMAZING!!! They set up thoughtful items like the breakfast items including creamer, to the first aid kit with candles in case of emergencies!! There were 9 of us and we were all very confortable and felt like home in the large rooms, 2 bathrooms, and a family style table in which we had coffee in the morning, or playing...

'This was a great place to stay for a night! We appreciated the helpfulness of the staff (though we had a hard time figuring out where to check in). The fridge in our room was loud but the ac helped to drown out the noise. There weren't many amenities (no breakfast or lounge area, no pool or exercise room) but the facility itself was nice and overall a comfortable place to stay.'
