'Stayed one night. Food was excellent in the restaurant and a very good breakfast. The staff were lovely. We were up in room 20 which is up two flights of stairs so beware of accessibility. '

'Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. 'If you can, avoid room 011 (ground floor), not sure what is above but footsteps came through the ceiling late at night and again early morning which woke me. Told reception on leaving but just got a “sorry about that”. Some staff nice and friendly. Public areas OK but a bit tired in places. Free parking and a service station in walking distance. Overall did the job but not cheap. '

'Great concept. Few areas to improve. Loose handles on drawers. Dust in cups. Water in appliances. Bathroom bin not emptied leaving wonderment what else was missed. Shower would benefit from a more thorough clean with a brush. Shower hose grooves and areas within the shower holding mold.
