'This was a great location and fairly priced. The hosts go out of their way to provide extras like each towels. Public transportation to downtown Christchurch and airport is about 1 block away and runs every 15 minutes until late. There are lots of restaurants nearby along with grocery, pharmacy, and coffee shops. '

'The room we were in, James Cook, was wonderful. Clean, well equipped, comfortable, with a lovely deck. It was also great to have breakfast provided each day. Steffan and Michelle are fantastic hosts. Warm, proactive, helpful, and fun. I highly, highly recommend this place.'

'Don’t be put off by the backpacker property, the Lakeview rooms are terrific, very big with a great view and come with a mini fridge and kettle. The amenities are limited, just hand and body wash, and towels are limited, and no servicing, but for the price, the location is excellent, and the Lakeview rooms are totally separate from the backpacker dorms. '
