'Lovely little cottage with a variety of goats, chickens, turkeys, and peacocks. Kim offered two bags of feed to hand out to the animals. Wifey and daughter loved it. Kim and husband were very responsive to our communications. We didn’t take in much of the area, we traveled for business. Nice mall and restaurants within driving distance, Roanoke about 15-20 minutes away. Overall it was a nice, cozy stay.'

'Had a great stay in Roanoke. It’s minutes away from the Mcafee Knob trailhead and 20 mins from Roanoke, VA. The property was great, chrck-in process was pretty smooth, and ample space to park 2 cars. There is also a firepit and we were graciously provided with firewood and some smores which we enjoyed after a day hike. I would definitely book again if I am back in this area. '

'Lovely stay. The house is very comfortable, impeccably decorated and well furnished. I stayed 3 nights. I was in town for a job interview and to check out the area. I needed to stay an extra the hosts were very helpful and great to work with.'

'Great attention to detail. Hosts left extra surprises (including fresh flowers!!!) and provided everything we would need for our stay. The flat was clean, private/quiet, and communication and checking in and out were a breeze. Would definitely stay here again! 10/10!'

'Rose Cottage was perfect and a delightful place to stay with dogs. The house had everything we needed and was so organized and welcoming that we were quick to feel at home. Jessie was so kind when we met. The fire pit and axe throwing down by the creek was so refreshing and the dogs were wild about running about in the huge fenced in section of the yard. We also enjoyed the deck. We're eager to come back when visiting our family and hometown again soon. '

'My entire family had a blast. We went fishing, kayaking and tubing. House had everything that we needed for our stay. They even left us some snacks. '

'Easy access to shopping and grocery store. Comfortable surroundings. Beautiful nature and lots of birdsong. The chickens free ranging on the property is a plus. Love it! Highly recommend for small group of adults and maybe school age children. We were three adults. The bunk bed is a bit tricky on the top bunk for an adult. The queen bed is very comfortable.'
