The location of the boat was perfect for our adventures in Edinburgh and Leith, including its proximity to the tram. There are plenty of nearby restaurants that are steps away from the boat. 'Het hotel is vergane glorie. We kregen een kamer op de begane grond met een vies douchegordijn en schimmel in de randen. De ventilator maakte enorme herrie en de kamer was niet schoon. De kastjes plakten.
Na een klacht kregen we een kamer op de 1e verdieping. Dit was een klein stukje beter. Op de douche stonk (keuken ?). Elk half uur gaat aan de achterzijde een soort airco aan die steeds dik 10 minuten staat te draaien, dag en nacht gaat dit door.
Ook deze kamer was niet schoon, plakkerig...

'We were in Edinburgh for an extra few nights unexpectedly and booked “3 Johns Place” last minute. We absolutely loved it! The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless, the shower was new and modern. I would give it more stars if I could.

It's definitely worth the short drive off the beaten path. And of course it's a filming location for Outlander which makes it extra special. '
