'Avani is a lovely new hotel close to the beach & cafes. The issue is when you are there over the weekend, which was our case. On the Saturday we thought it would be nice to go for a swim & have a quiet drink in the restaurant on the top level. When we arrived we couldn't even get a seat. It wasnt until we checked out that we were told that the restaurant was operated by a different company & they had booked other parties in on the weekend. 'Advise the hotel to provide ear plugs for guests. Saturday night thumping and music did not end until midnight & then woken up at 6am by smashing bottles - recycling or something with the bins. I thought with the refurb they'd managed to insulate the rooms for noise. Wasn't really worth the cost of $235 & having a child. Both had a terrible night sleep Check in process could be improved - better instructions of codes etc as no keys issued or reception staff - that could be an Expedia problem...
