'The hotel itself was great. However, throughout the night they were various power surges that cut our electricity off. I could handle without an air conditioner but when you wear a CPAP not having electricity makes it very difficult to sleep and breathe. Upon checkout, the staff said they would have someone check it out, but didn’t offer much beyond that. A breakfast or something would’ve been great. But I’m sure that that didn’t cross their mind.'

'The Harbinson House was a great place to stay for going to a show at Ace of Spades. It is in a beautiful historic neighborhood and the place itself is a quirky historic home. 'This property exceeded all of my expectations except for one. The good the staff was excellent they were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The room was a single king with bed, lounge chair, wall mounted work area, refrigerator and TV; all fairly standard. More importantly the room was very clean and the air conditioner worked very well. 'Nice hotel, probably the best you are going to find in downtown Sacramento, very historic. Great rooms, beautiful restaurant. If you plan on walking anywhere, be prepared to be approached by aggressive homeless and panhandlers. Not the hotels fault, the city doesn't seem to care about this problem, in fact they seem to welcome it. Parking is $47 - A DAY! Valet only, add a tip to that!'

'Hands down the best hotel in Sacramento! They upgraded our room to a corner room with a beautiful view of the capitol. There was live music at the bar and lobby area. We absolutely enjoyed it here and highly recommend staying here!'

'Anna from the front desk was a total sweetheart! She checked us in early and even helped with our luggage! The hotel is clean, quiet and nicely decorated. The area is nice as well, Capital Park is beautiful. The only thing we did not like was the mattress, it was not very firm and my husband moves around a lot in his sleep so I didn’t sleep very well. 'Goed betaalbaar motel net buiten midtown. Wel een eindje lopen naar downtown en historic district. Gratis parkeren en gratis ontbijt. Kamers roken helaas naar rook, ook al is er een niet roken beleid. Niet superschoon. Wel een geel fijne douche. Vlakbij snelweg, dus veel geluiden van verkeer en getoeter. Neem oordopjes mee. 'I come to Sacramento quite a bit for work and while there are plenty of hotels in the depths of downtown and along the Sacramento waterfront there are not a whole lot of options near the Capital and other state agency building. The Sterling is AWESOME for an affordable boutique stay in a very walkable and lovely part of town where accommodations are limited. I plan on making this my regular spot to stay when I'm in Sacramento.'
