'I have stayed at the Himley many times over the past 10 years. For a long time it has been in need of a refurb. Finally this has happened and the hotel has been transformed into a wonderful boutique hotel. The quality of the refurbished rooms is excellent. A lovely place to stay. '

'Je komt binnen in een pub met balkenplafond en plakkerige vloer en tafels. Je gaat een smalle krakende trap op met versleten en vies tapijt naar de kamer. Het lijkt of de kamer een jaar geleden voor het laatst is schoongemaakt. De wastafel is gebarsten, de wc vies, de douchecabine vol met kalkvlekken. Maar bediening is bijzonder vriendelijk en het eten goed. '

'We had an excellent stay. The girls working there when we arrived late were brilliant. They made us some sandwiches even though the restaurant had closed and nothing was too much trouble. Best service we have had in a long time.'

'Stayed for one night whilst visiting family. friendly check in , easy to find. Accommodation was clean everything was in working order. Only thing that would need improvement was the pillows , as they were very soft but this of course is preference. Bedding very thick and too heavy during a heat wave. 'A lovely place to stay, spotlessly clean and great service. Great food in the bar and all very reasonably priced. Becky in housekeeping provided excellent service in the rooms. It was an ideal place to stay with easy access to Hay and to the cafe in the airstrip. We will return if we go back that way again.'
