'nice clean place'

'Beautiful location. Nice, large and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Concerns: chose to upgrade to whirlpool room with kitchen. Jet in sprayed water across the room and therefore was unusable, kitchen had good supply of cookware but only set of four dishware and not event salt and pepper. TV in bedroom did not work and was jam packed with wires and seemed to be falling off of the wall. Slow toilets. Closet doors were off rails in all closets but fixed quickly when we called front desk....

'Excellent hostess Lili - a wonderful Soul. The breakfasts provided delicious. The Davis Brook Retreat such a serene place for rejuvenation. We spent majority of our time on chaise lounges in the back yard listening to the song birds and wind chimes. A wee disappointment was the pool not really heated. Nowhere in website did it say pool not heated. Managed to get into pool once but not for long - rather cold. Did use hot tub once also. Overall a lovely stay. Will go again.'

'Een motel met een uistekende ligging in hartje Powell River met een prima prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Kamers zijn deels vernieuwd (bedden, airco), deels wat verouderd (meubilair, kitchenette). Maar alles werkt goed. Motel is rustig en ligt prachtig op heuvel met zicht over de baai (mét orka's!) en met mooie zonsondergangen. De eigenaresse is supervriendelijk en heel servicegericht, ze zwaait liefst elke gast persoonlijk uit.'
