'Laureen was very hospitable. She accomodated us every step of the way. There were clean sheets, comforters, pillows and sets of towels arranged in the room. The bathroom was also clean and there was hot water. Laureen checked in on us to see how we slept and if our needs were met. She made a delicious hot breakfast consisting of blueberry pancakes and eggs how we like them served with tea, coffee or water. 'Black Bear lodge is a great getaway and excellent base to explore the area as it’s so central. We had excellent communication ahead of our check in, a real warm welcome and helpful with dining tips. The room was spacious and comfortable. The lodge is just off the main road but if we heard a car we didn’t notice, it’s so quiet around there.
