'Upon arrival, I was greeted very warmly, and I immediately felt comfortable and safe on the property. The receptionist was very kind and upgraded my room, which was a wonderful surprise and greatly appreciated. 'I had a lovely stay in The Reef - what a beautiful place! Very nice rooms, fine breakfast, very warm and friendly staff, and very easy access to great snorkeling. One point of attention - when the staff orders a taxi, they automatically order a luxury taxi which is double as expensive as a white taxi. As you need to pay taxis with cash, this can lead to a negative surprise when you are low on cash (for me, on my trip to the airport going back)'

'The hotel was quite okay, but in my opinion it’s not a beach resort since you have to walk a bit to reach the water, and the beach itself isn’t very nice. The room felt fairly worn down, and there were cockroaches in the bathroom. If you want to stay by the sea, I recommend choosing a hotel a bit outside of Cebu or staying at Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort on Camotes Island, which is beautifully located. 'I stayed here for one night and had a great experience. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, making for a restful stay. The hotel is located in a fairly quiet area, which is perfect for those looking to relax while still being within reach of nearby attractions. The airport is just 20 minutes drive. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adding to the positive experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel you can’t go wrong with it!'

Blanket smelled like it hadn't been washed from the previous renter, pillow had spots of blood on it. Private beach is a 8-10 minute walk, this building is not beachfront. I would not recommend staying at this location'

'Ouderwetse kamer in het 'nieuwe gedeelte'. Slecht bed, ouderwetse badkamer. Het hotel lijkt TOTAAL NIET op de foto's. Personeel is vriendelijk. Restaurant stelt niets voor, daar is het personeel slecht. De omgeving is niet bijzonder, ver weg. Het enige goede is dat er op loopafstand een Italiaans restaurant zit: Giuseppe. Ga daar heen!'
