  • Geniet van een spectaculair uitzicht op het meer en de oceaan, geweldige zonsondergangen en uw eigen privéstrand vanaf onze ruime Martha's Vineyard Lakeside thuis! Er is voldoende ruimte voor gezinsvakanties, kleine groepsbijeenkomsten en overloop voor grotere eilandevenementen. Het huis ligt aan de oostelijke rand van het Tashmoo-meer en kijkt naar het westen over het meer en daarachter over de Vineyard Sound naar de Elizabeth-eilanden en Cape Cod.

    Gelegen op anderhalve hectare grote meer aan de Herring Creek Road, ligt het huis op slechts 1,6 km van het centrum van Vineyard Haven. Je hebt gemakkelijk toegang tot alles wat het eiland te bieden heeft, of je kunt gewoon thuis blijven en 'er even vanaf gaan'. Ontspan in de zon op het hoofddek of in de schaduw van het overdekte terras boven terwijl u geniet van het spectaculaire uitzicht en de koele bries van het meer voelt komen. Loop ongeveer 50 meter van het huis om te kajakken, zeilen, klemmen of een aangename duik in het meer. Of loop. 3 mijl naar Wilfrid's Pond Beach of .7 mijl naar Lake Tashmoo Town Beach. Mink Meadows Golf Club ligt ook op loopafstand (.9 mijl).

    Nieuwe keukenapparatuur (fornuis, koelkast en vaatwasser) geïnstalleerd in maart 2019. Een tweede koelkast op het lagere niveau biedt extra ruimte voor drankjes en eten voor uw gezin. Tal van gerechten, wijnglazen en serveerschalen zijn aanwezig. Gevulde stoelen bij het raam, boeken, speelgoed en spelletjes zijn beschikbaar om uw verblijf te verbeteren. Dit is ons huis en we kijken er naar uit om het met u en uw gezin te delen.

    Voorzieningen zijn onder meer premium kabel-tv met Netflix, high-speed internet en wi-fi en telefoondienst met onbeperkt bellen naar huis. Er zijn flatscreen-tv's in de slaapkamer en de woonkamer. Het huis is uitgerust met ruime USB-oplaadpoorten voor uw persoonlijke apparaten.

    Slaapplaatsen omvatten een kingsize bed in de slaapkamer en queensize bedden in de andere drie slaapkamers en bunkhouse. Daarnaast zijn er twee aparte bedden in de slaaphoek op het lagere niveau. Alle linnengoed en handdoeken zijn aanwezig. De zeewind houdt de temperatuur mild, maar fans en centrale verwarming zijn beschikbaar indien nodig.

    Er is een back-up stroomgenerator in het hele huis bij stroomuitval.

    Grabbars op de douche en het bad, een slaapkamer op de eerste verdieping en een oprit naar de ingang maken het huis toegankelijk.

    Een apart bunkhouse biedt extra ruimte voor tieners of privacy voor een stel.

    Staats- en lokale belastingen van 11,7% zijn van toepassing op alle huurcontracten die beginnen op of na 1 juli 2019.

This is a very comfortable house in a lovely location, right on Tashmoo Pond. The home, which has everything one could need, is very user-friendly, with many thoughtful and creative touches. The owners are responsive and easy to communicate with. We would stay here again.

Our family came to stay for my mothers 80th birthday. This home was the perfect place to stay, as it was in such a beautiful location. The attention to details by the owners who literally had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The upstairs bedrooms have an ocean view, and the downstairs bedroom was off the kitchen and had a shared down stairs bathroom. It was very comfortable for my mother. For children the home has a great down stairs space for kids to be kids. This home is a short drive to town. You can see the most beautiful sunsets from the deck or you can take a short walk to the beach. If you rent this home your family will not be disappointed.

A fabulous vacation home on Lake Tashmoo with glorious sunset views enjoyed by all! The host, Tim, was extremely attentive and communicative. The house was immaculate, cozy and had many thoughtful amenities. Kayaking on the lake was a very easy process, and we had delightful experiences communing with nature. One of the loveliest cottages we have ever rented, and we will definitely return!

A July 4th to remember

Loved this place. Great size, multiple puzzles, games, stocked kitchen and garage. A short trip in Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. The place was perfect there on the water although a short walk to Tashmoo Beach is recommended just be ready for a narrow winding dirt road back to the property.

Spacious & Comfortable House with a Magnificent View

The house was lovely and it was a perfect place for a large family or group of friends. We loved sitting on both the upper and lower deck with cocktails or coffee and enjoying the view. Very quiet and off the beaten path which needed an SUV or similar type of vehicle to access the house from the main road.

Peaceful Vacation at Lake Tashmoo House

This house on Lake Tashmoo was amazing! It has beautiful views of the lake and ocean. It is walking distance to the ocean at Lake Tashmoo Town Beach. It is peaceful and secluded, but Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs are just a short drive for eating out and other activities. The well-equipped kitchen also made staying home for dinner a pleasure. Tim communicated well and this made the logistics of our stay really easy. A perfect place to experience MV!

A hidden gem

Nothing fancy. It is the old Martha's Vineyard not the new one. We love the old one so this was perfect.

Disconnect and unwind in nature

This home is all about the location! My family and I stayed here for a wedding, and we were able to bike from the ferry to the house in under 10 minutes and to Oak Bluffs in just over 25 - beautiful and scenic all the way. While we were at the home, we cooked breakfasts in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoyed coffee on the deck. We loved making cocktails to watch the unbelievable sunsets over Lake Tashmoo and the ocean - without another sound other than those from nature. So peaceful! The house itself is basic, but comfortable, especially the beds. We also loved making a fire in the wood fire place - the home was even stocked with wood for us! A very memorable stay!

Beautiful setting, charming Vineyard home

We all had an amazing time at the Macy house on Lake Tashmoo. The location is fantastic—close enough to all the down island towns to make going out easy, but with a peaceful and secluded feel that tempts you to stay in. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from our deck, and swimming and hanging out at the private beach on Tashmoo. The house was clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we needed—including beach towels, great beach chairs, and all kitchen gadgets. Games and TV service, WiFi, etc., were very much appreciated. We loved the outdoor shower. We could tell the house was much loved and are grateful for the warm welcome we received. Thank you, Tim and Bobbie, for being such gracious and attentive hosts—we only regret we weren’t able to stay longer!

Sibling birthday reunion

We planned a sibling reunion with spouses to celebrate our 65th, 70th and 75th birthdays together on the Vineyard. Tim was an incredible host, in correspondence with us before and during our stay to ensure that we had everything we needed and were well taken care of. The house is well stocked and we were greeted with a welcome basket of goodies to get our celebrating off to a good start. We had only one problem with an ornery oven that did not want to warm up. Tim had an electrician there within the day. The charcoal grill also saved the day as an easy backup. Although we were excited to explore the island, we spent most of our time on the deck, taking in the extraordinary view and watching one of the most magnificent sunsets we have ever seen. As promised, there is easy access to a swimming beach at the pond below the house, and an ocean beach an easy walk down the road. A very special spot!

A wonderful vacation.

We have been vacationing on MV for years so we are very familiar with many parts of the island. We love the area around Lake Tashmoo and this property was wonderfully situated with a private path to a wonderful beach. Warm shallow water never more than 5ft at high tide. Our 7 and 4 yo grand daughters loved it. Swimming and kayaking from the beach was wonderful. The property was clean and the property owner was very easy to communicate with. The sunsets were spectacular and we had clear skies enough to see the Milky Way one night and vivid lightning storms across the sound on another night. We cannot say enough about how well this property met our needs and exceeded our expectations.

Rest and relaxation at LakeTashmoo

This property was everything that we had hoped for! It was a wonderful oasis for a girls' weekend away! We loved that the house truly felt like a home. The view of the lake and the property was so beautiful. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the mornings and evenings looking at the stars. It's remote, but perfectly situated! Just what we needed

The house is very nice with many enjoyable features that make a stay there pleasant and worthwhile. The location is fabulous, beautiful views and close to anything you could want to get to on the island. We stayed in January and it was spectacular, I can't even imagine how nice it would be in the warmer months, but I do hope to go back and find out someday. :) But even more important than the beautiful property and location, the owners are probably the best I have ever worked with on one of these rentals. We needed a holiday weekend getaway and booked on relatively short notice. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and resulted in a cancelled ferry to the island and a good chance of cancellation for the return trip. The owners were more accommodating and flexible than we could have reasonably expected and really went above and beyond! Tim kept in solid communication with updates, refunded the night we could not make it to the island, and gave us amazing flexibility dealing with the storm on our departure day. That type of understanding alone says a lot about the family that owns this property and that you are truly considered a guest in their family getaway, not merely a quick buck on the side. This experience deserves the highest rating I can give and I will definitely rent this property again when we return to the Vineyard.

Stunning Views and Comfortable Family Stay on Lake Tashmoo

Our stay at The Macy Family house was such a wonderful and memorable weekend. The house is much larger and nicer than even the photos communicate and the view from the house, the private beach on Lake Tashmoo and the private beach down the private road are spectacular. The wrap around decks and the view from the kitchen sink and dining table were incredible to wake up to! We made great use of the working fireplace, the washer dryer and the three main floor bedrooms. The house is almost unbelievably well-equipped with everything you need for a Holiday dinner (we stayed over Christmas) and the house was toasty and comfortable the entirety of our stay. The privacy and quiet of the road really made you feel like you were in your own private world and the nature surrounding the property is easy to get lost in all while only a seven minute drive from the ferry landing and stores and restaurants in Vineyard Haven. It is essential to rent an SUV as the road to the house would have been completely impassable in my Subaru so I was grateful to the other reviews which noted the road's condition. It was not an easily maneuverable road and I would definitely have caused damage to my vehicle if I had tried to make my vehicle work. The Macys were consistent and thorough in their communication and have gone out fo their way to mail me a lost item from our stay.

Fabulous House on Lake Tashmoo

Well furnished with two bathrooms, comfortable beds, and a full kitchen. Immaculately clean. Backup diesel generator, although we've never needed it. We have stayed twice and love this place.
