'This was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. The look of the Ribchester Arms, when we arrived, was impressive. We had a very large room and bathroom, both very modern with a 'fridge and juices, milk, drinks and biscuits. The staff were very helpful and looked after us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and pretty good. We ate there a couple of nights and the food was wonderful. A recommended place to stay .'

'The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained with good decor. The bathroom had a powerful shower and enough room around the basin for your wash bags. Lighting in the bathroom is always an issue for me (!) so as usual I had my mirror on the window sill in search of natural light. We ate in the pub on the first night, sharing a platter. Good menu. My partner sampled the local beer and was pleased he did. Although a full breakfast was on offer we just had a yoghurt & some toast. The toast...

'The food was quite good, and like the room price, good value for money. Friendly staff. As in many UK hotels, a shower in a bath is also here, slippery and life-threatening.'

'The rooms are very comfortable, interestingly decorated, and well equipped with plug outlets, etc. Only negative is that meal service ends at 8pm in the restaurant, and road traffic can be a bit loud (if you are sensitive).'
