'Way overpriced; C$ 221.20 for a room without airconditioning. Temp in room reached 26 degrees Celsius. Then while taking a shower I noticed the small shampoo and shower gel were used and almost empty. Sad but true. At check-in the receptionist had a hard time counting the (partly) cash I paid with. Also a hard time to deduct the cash from the invoice and charge the rest to my MasterCards. The hotel itself has its charmes but is way overpriced. Guess it’s the new reality. '

'This was our second time staying at the Omni King Edward. Overall it’s a pleasant stay, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. When we arrived in the room the AC was broken, it was on constantly, pretty loud and it didn’t cool all that much. Based on the state of the room, it was clear someone had been trying to fix it but didn’t fix it in time. 'Parking was great, the breakfast was fine. The bathroom was very small, and would not accommodate two people. Also, though I don't watch much TV, I was surprised that there was no Tv, nor was there a bed side clock. I feel badly saying so, but the very thick Chinese accent was hard to understand. I have spent a year in China, and my sister-in-law is from Hong Kong and has a strong accent. So I am familiar with accented English.
