'Het is een prachtig klein hotel. De mensen zijn erg vriendelijk en de kamer en gedeelde badkamer zien er erg netjes uit. Het enige nadeel is dat het erg gehorig is, je hoort alles wat er in de gang gebeurd'

'Great room with a small shady balcony. However: Our room was at the 3rd Floor & no elevator available, which was inconvenient given our heavy luggage. The shared bathroom per floor was inconvenient as well: often occupied, relatively small and increasing wet in the morning, as mor & more people had a shower.'

'It was really great stay, the staff was so kind and friendly, They response so quickly less than a 2min when I had a question and call or text them ! The room I stayed has air conditioner, the they have few toilet and shower, laundry, and the kitchen was so big !!! They clean the kitchen so hard when I saw them, I felt bad to use the kitchen because it was so clean !!haha I extended stay, Thank you so much for all the help !'

'Ligt duchtbij het strand, winkels in de buurt, rookgelegenheid bij het hotel. Minder was dat er GEEN lift aanwezig is, met een nederlands telefoonnummer werkt alleen je roomkey. Alles is digitaal. NIET HANDIG!!! Had liever een normalevsleutel of sleutelkaart gehad ipv digitaal.'

'It still a hostel but it's clean and superbly located 2min from Kings Cross train station. Nice big common TV area with sofa's. Kitchen is huge and there's a patio so you can eat outside if you want. Plenty of showers and bathrooms. A bit loud sometimes but that's the other guests and not the hostel so you can be (un)lucky.'

'The hostel is cosy and social. It’s not a party hostel, but people do socialise in the kitchen. The beds are the drawback here - they are rickety and every time someone moves in their bed, you can hear the springs. Also my bed moved every time the guy in the top bunk rolled around. I’m 193cm and couldn’t stretch out in the bed. Difficult to sleep. If you value your sleep, find another place. '

'Lack of service.... Never anyone at reception.. Was told I could only pay cash for the booking... And when I decided to extend my booking the next night, I checked the price online and it was $80 But when the manager/receptionist finally arrived I saw her on one of the floors as she was cleaning the rooms. I asked her if I could meet her a reception and pay another night. And she said oh just pay me here and now cash. I asked her how much for the night? And her response was... How much did...

'Was een teleurstellend verblijf. Herkende niets van de foto's. Bed had een grote kuil in het midden, waardoor je vanaf de zijkant naar het midden rolde. Het stonk in de kamer. Lakens waren vies en vanaf het moment dat ik in bed lag, kreeg ik jeuk. Ik ben uiteindelijk op een eigen sarong gaan liggen met een eigen strandlaken over me heen. Echter, de volgende ochtend had ik toch overal bultjes. Bah! Verder is de lokatie niet top aan een hoek waar vijf drukke verkeersstraten samenkomen. En boven...

'The location is great. Very close to King Cross station. The staff are friendly. I also like free luggage storage. But the place stinks. The Wi-Fi sucks. I mean good Wi-Fi is like the baseline a hostel should have and you fail. There are not enough bathrooms. People have to queue up to get into a bathroom(which combines toilet and shower together, so if you want to pee, you have to wait for people to finish showering). '

'mould all over the shower curtains in the bathroom. I didn’t want to shower because i didn’t want to breathe in the spores. No door on the bathroom, Just a curtain that was see through. The room could have been cleaner. The traffic outside was extremely noisy and it wasn’t really near any restaurants. It’s passable if you’re desperate but otherwise i’d book somewhere else. '

'De gratis shuttledienst vanaf de luchthaven is blijkbaar enkel indien je verschillende nachten bij hen boekt. Aangezien we maar 1 nacht hadden geboekt, hebben we die niet gekregen. Eens daar aangekomen, is de receptionist wel beleefd maar redelijk koel. Je moet direct een reglement ondertekenen waarbij je belooft om 9u00 de volgende dag de kamer te hebben verlaten, of anders een fixeren boete. 9u00 is eigenlijk wel vroeg?! We hadden de tweepersoonskamer geboekt. Indien je een handdoek wenst,...

'I spent a few nights at the Asylum Sydney and can recommend this hostel although its furniture is a bit long in the tooth. That i enjoyed my stay is primarily due to the fact that the staff were very friendly and helpful and the mix of the guests was very pleasant and due to the small size of the hostel you easy make contact with other guests. Other benefits are plugs for every bunk, locker on the room and free but simple breakfast.'
