'Very helpful and friendly staff. Room clean and bed comfy. A bit of a wait for dinner but it was well worth the wait; delicious. You couldn't find a more fabulous landscape as the setting either. '

'Good room bc with free WiFi. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast cooked fresh. Good choice. Hotel very central for shops. Banana s, cafes, restaurants and bus station. Would recommend and will stay there again. '

'Very average. Overall a nice pub area.
Checkin was rushed. No parking nearby and confusing as to which car parks allowed overnight parking. Carpets were filthy and didn't look like they had been hoovered in a week.
Breakfast was fine. '

'Nice people on the reception offering walking guides just to use as soon as we told we were planning to do some walking in the Lake District. The rooms were spaceous and very clean. In the morning on request freshly baken croissants or oatmeal During the evenings we used the DVD service for free. You can pick one and play a movie in the room.'

'This is unique experience. With outstanding views of Windermere and Ambleside. Try and avoid wedding weekends. As the menu is limited but still a lot of great choice and variety. Staff could not be more helpful and attentive. Makes a huge difference to a trip, I hope the management team take note. We stayed in the cottage's which were great for us as we travelled as a 6. And gave us some extra privacy and ability to spend the afternoon on our own terrace together which was great. But...
