'The property is lovely, the rooms are very comfortable and the view is awesome. The restaurant and bar has a great menu and the staff were very accommodating. Every menu item we tried was exceptional. There was a complimentary wine tasting of a local wine and the person pouring was very knowledgeable. The room was clean, I enjoyed the complementary products supplied. The only less than stellar thing I noted was the hall carpet appeared dirty or at least in need of a cleaning.'

'I will only stay here from now on. It’s so quiet I can’t ever hear anything from my room. The jacuzzi tub is the best. The view is out of this world. And the bed, bedding and pillows are AMAZING. The double shower heads are extra nice. Wonderful thick towels with robes for two. I just stayed for 3 nights and tried to stay 2 more and they were booked. I was so sad I had to find somewhere else to stay. Nothing compares to the Starfish Manor. Bravo!!'

'Looks like they are working on improving the property. Some areas are a little worn but you can see the work they are putting into making it better… .with that said. Our room was super clean and very comfortable. The view was to die for and easy to walk to the beach. It’s literally right next to it. The staff was great. Had this little ( I believe) Russian woman who checked us in. Sooo helpful, funny and just adorable. Loved her! Would love to come back. '

'Vriendelijke ontvangst en behulpzaam. Deel van het hotel wordt gerenoveerd, daardoor wat werklawaai ( na. 08.30 uur beonnen) en werklui in en rond het hotel. Door de werkzaamheden was het ontbijtrestaurant buiten gebruik. Mooie ligging direct aan het strand.'

'So we enjoyed our stay but it was a little strange - the first floor restaurant is completely shuttered and the building is pretty dated. Front desk staff were not super friendly and it wasn’t clear if there was daily maid service (a sign said there wasn’t but there was a tip envelope in the room). We hung up the do not disturb sign and didn’t worry about it. The big windows with ocean views wete amazing and the beach access (a 90 step staircase!) was awesome. '

'We love staying here-usually make a trip to Newport area a couple times a year. The rooms are comfy & we enjoy the view & falling asleep to the ocean sounds. The slider door stuck & the carpets getting a little fraid but we'll keep coming back. The staff here are the best!'

'The view of the ocean from our room was fantastic. The room was very clean and spacious. It was close to the things we wanted to do and staff pointed out some other interesting things in town. A little warm due to no air conditioning but a fan was provided in our room. Also gave us an adjoining room with the couple we were traveling with without even requesting which was nice. Would stay again if in the area.'

'Het motel ademt de sfeer van de jaren 60. De kamer die wij hadden heeft uitzicht op het parkeerterrein en niet op zee. De kamer is donker met alleen een klein raam aan de voorkant. De kamer ruikt muf en de inrichting is oubollig met verouderde spullen. Er is echter wel veel. Je kunt er koken en er is bijvoorbeeld zelfs een blikopener.'
