'Zeer bijzondere locatie vlak bij de zee. Geweldig ontbijt en heel vriendelijk en correct personeel. Enkel de kussens in de bedden zijn oncomfortabel en het enige minpuntje aan ons verblijf. Wat een prachtig gebouw!'

'My teenage daughter and I were in a twin room. However, this was a connecting room with another family.
I could hear every noise from the connecting room. Not ideal. We had already unpacked before we realised.
Later in the evening, a guest was shouting in the corridor. He sounded disturbed. Staff escorted him down to reception.'

'Overall I stay was ok and the staff were very nice. Little things that could be improved on our first night we had biscuits, it would have been nice to have them every day. On our last morning we only had one teabag for the 3 of us. Breakfast was not what we would call a full English, tomatoes and mushrooms would have been nice and 2 sausages. We did tell the staff about this. We came to the bar for happy hour and it wasn’t staffed, we ran the bell and nobody came, so we left. Property was a bit...

'Meg and Simon could not have made us more welcome. they were friendly and helpful from the minute we stepped over the doorstep. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The bed was really comfortable, lovely white towels were provided. Tea and coffee also marshmallows for the hot chocolate. Breakfast was absolutely spot on with a choice of full English or everything else one might like . We spent 3 nights there in June and was not disappointed at all. We shall be going back in August or...

'Was a little smaller than expected but still good for my stay of 7 nights. Check-in information wasn't supplied until the afternoon of check-in which was a little concern but was fine in the end. Near the promenade / beach and shops. Easy walking to promenade / beach / shops / piers etc. A pretty good stay.'

'Simon and family are such lovely hosts. I chose the New Brooklyn bc previous reviewers had said it was warm even when the weather outside was chilly (I arrived in the middle of a massive storm) and that women traveling alone felt safe. It can attest to both. My room was cozy whilst the storm raged outside. The bar was massively decorated for Halloween which was so fun. And the hosts are the loveliest people. Cannot recommend highly enough. Keep in mind that this is a small guest house - rooms...
