The plaza de la Virgen or the Old Square, is the main meeting point of Vitoria-Gasteiz. It is located between the neighbourhoods of Casco Viejo and the Eixample. It is surrounded by white houses and on the centre square, is located a monument in memory of the Battle of Vitoria (1813), an episode of the War of Independence.

'Location is very good ... in the mountains, not far from major citie, max. 30 to 40 minutes to the seaside.Most important the friendly welcome of the owners Rober and his wife, very nice couple. Rober gave us excellent tips about the area. The house was well maintained and clean. Spending the evening outside enjoying the views and quietness was wonderful. Even when we checked out so early on Sunday, Rober and his lady were also sharp on time for our check out. Really a wonderful experience.'

'Everything was great. We felt right at home. Appreciated how spacious the apartment was, and availability of à washer. Location is exceptional. Very quiet location yet 5 minutes from anything you need - including the metro. Apartment has no air conditioning but temperature was easy to manage with windows and the several fans in the apartment. Might not be as easy to regulate in warmest months. We travelled in October. '
