'Casey is een superhost die je snel op je gemak stelt en wegwijs maakt op de boot en in de buurt. Ik heb heerlijk geslapen, al moet je wel tegen wat gewiebel kunnen op de boot. Een bootje is geen luxe hotel, het lijkt wat meer op kamperen, maar alles wat ik nodig had, was er. En meer dan dat: uitzicht over het water en direct kunnen lopen over de dijk zijn goud waard. De supermarkt is dichtbij en heeft heerlijk eten. En je bent zo in Amsterdam voor museumbezoek. Kortom, ik heb genoten.'

'We spent two nights aboard the lovely houseboat, Orpheus. It was so fun! We enjoyed sitting on the little deck and raising a glass of wine to all the passing boats. 'Wer schon immer mal auf einem alten Binnenschiff sein wollte, der hat bei Lydia und Uhuru genau diese tolle Möglichkeit. Die beiden sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, geben Tipps für Amsterdam und Umgebung und lassen einen teilhaben am Leben auf dem Wasser. Die De Hoop ist klasse, man hat sein eigenes kleines Reich und der Kaffee schmeckt morgens in der Steuerkabine mit herrlichen Rundumblick einfach nur noch besser. 'This was an ideal place to stay in Amsterdam. It was super fun to stay on a houseboat, and this is a particularly nice houseboat. It has an ideal location, right at the edge of the city center--easy walking to everything but on a nice, quiet canal surrounded by beautiful buildings that seemed apart from the intensity of the most tourists districts, even though they were just a few minutes walk away.
