We were able to easily walk to the Performing Arts center on campus for a concert. A/C is a window unit (not central air), but it felt cool enough for me. 'I was looking for a peaceful woodsy retreat for my son and I while checking out Tweetsie, and this place did not disappoint! The space was clean and super cute. Even though rain prevented use of the firepit, it made for good salamander hunting near the creek out back. Will definitely be back!'

'This was a great little stay in Downtown Boone. The location is unmatched, access was easy, and the listing was as described. Very sweet, vintage vibes were on point - it reminded me a bit of my grandparents' house (in the best way). Would definitely stay here again! '

"One night stay here after staying at their sister hotel in Raleigh. The property itself is fine but no atmosphere compared to Raleigh. Easy parking, clean and comfortable room. Not much to do within walking distance, except a burger takeaway. We tried to walk to a nearby microbrewery. It should've been a 5 minute walk, but we found it impossible to cross the 6-lane highway in front of the motel so gave up and went back to our room. Maybe, as Europeans, we're not used to the American way of driving everywhere, but to visit a brewery, walking would seem a safer option. Pleasant enough motel but not sure we'd return."
