'Kenji was a very nice host and his "guest house English" speaking was wonderful!! It is a perfect location if you are looking to wake up early and walk to the bamboo forest, you can be one of the first people there. Kenji also gave us recommendations of places to visit in the area that you otherwise may not have known about. '

'Mulan Hostel was wonderful. I came a little close to 9pm but they greeted me with such warmth and care. The dorm bed was comfortable and very nice. I loved the amenities and hot shower. 'The room was within walking distance from the bamboo forest and local restaurants. It was hard to find dining at night because some restaurants close early and you have to cross bridge to search for other restaurants. Too many gnats flying around. Gnats were also in the rooms. The staff were really nice and very helpful and patient.'

'Wonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. '
