'Very friendly and helpful front desk. The tatami room was very clean as was the bathroom and private onsen on the terrace. Both the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were excellent with seamless service. A very nice stay at an excellent hotel in an out of the way village.'

'Great spot away from the busy Tokyo area. The rooms and the hotel is special in its own way and has a lot of character. Felt like being in my grandparents home. Really enjoyed staying here and it made it incredibly easy to walk to and from the train station to get bus tickets. Would definitely tell friends to stay here in the future. '

'Old Showa style minimalistic ryokan, but the room for 5 was spacepus (double room) and the tatami beds and beddings arw comfortable. Self-service to put the futon (which was no problem for us). Power plugs and Wifi were abundant. We were fine with steps but for eldery or disabled it may be a challenge. The hot spring bath was nice. The temperature may be on a hot side but i think it is pretty standard. The tub was indeed made of wood (I assume hinoki).The place seemed to have a fair number of...

'Excellent hot springs, food and room. The room was nice and clean. There are two major hot springs. One has many pools inside and outside which is nicely decorated with natural stones. The other one is inside and open 24h. It is really nice place to enjoy hot springs.'
