The hotel is perfectly located in the Wangfujing area of Beijing. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are well appointed. The staff was very helpful and check in was flawless. There are many restaurants to walk to. We will stay here again

Renaissance hotel or Xin mao wan li hotel is amazing. Check in and check out in a breeze. The location is good, walkable to wangfujing shopping street. Everything evening there will be troops of dancers dancing along the pedestrian walk way. The best Beijing duck is here with lots of others of eateries. Must try quan jude Beijing duck house and Haidilao hotpot. Soho, sanlitun new shopping district in Chaoyang is 30 minutes taxi ride away . Tianamen square and forbidden city is nearby but better to get there in a taxi. Lobby staffs are very attentive and helpful and morning buffet is not to be missed.

To my surprise it was hard to find staff that spoke English. How can an American brand hotel not have staff that speak fluent English. This is unacceptable. On our last night we decided to eat at the hotel’s restaurant, not only were we the only people there, which should of been a sign, but the chef was upstairs at the concierge level and we had to wait for the services to finish upstairs to have our meal prepared. So they gave us complimentary bread for the one hour delay to bring our food. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel in a major capital city and they only have one person to prepare meals ? Unacceptable. Breakfast was okay, but I have had better ones at a Fairfield Inn, again a 5 star hotel. The breakfast catered mainly to Chinese taste and was poor on western options. The bathroom had mold.

We booked a suite for us family of four and requested an foldable bed (since the sofa in the sitting room is not a sofa bed), none of the other hotels we stayed during our trip to China (W in Shanghai, Kinggang in Xi’an, etc) charged us but we were charged here and that being not even available the first night of our stay. Rooms were quite dated and all carpet, did not feel clean…

During our stay in Beijing, the hotel staff was amazing. The reception desk, Daniel, and Joanna were the best!! Very helpful and accomodating. Daniel went out of his way to help me find a store that sold SD cards. The dining room team were exceptional! Manager Bernie made sure he greeted us with a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. Chef Laurence is a star! Thank you

Love it!!
The hotel was absolutely amazing. I stayed on the club level and the staff alone made it worth the price especially Wendy. I have stayed at many Marriott hotels and this one is by far superior to the others around the world.

O hotel não tem uma estrutura de 5 estrelas. Poucas são as pessoas que falam inglês, o que é uma grande dificuldade, porque se recebe turistas do mundo inteiro, era o mínimo. Tivemos problemas com a empresa que faz turismo dentro do hotel, porque não explicam direito o passeio. O café da manhã as comidas parecem velhas. O restaurante que serve o almoço e janta é bom, vale a pena ir.
