'We love to support small farms when we travel and this was a convenient location in between our plans in Portland and Acadia. The cottage is at the top of the hill with panoramic views. We woke up to thick fog which blanketed the scenery in clouds and made for scenery which we don't often get to see. The cottage is brand new and very clean and comfortable. 'This was the cutest cottage for our first trip to Maine! We loved taking our dog for walks on the trails behind the house. There was plenty of wildlife and beauty right behind the house. This was the best place for birdwatching! We could hear the loons from our window at night, and we saw them in the lake a few times. 'This rental was clean and the perfect size. The view out back is breathtaking. This rental showcases all of the natural beauty that Maine is famous for. "Honestly, we really wanted to give a 5 star review, just because Marc was such a great host. But all in all our experience was a bit disappointing - considering what we paid. We had booked a cottage but it was actually a room in a cottage with several other rooms in it. The room itself did not offer the right value for money. It was clean and the bed was great, but everything else felt and looked tired and worn. The curtains looked like they hadn't been replaced since the 90s. There was no microwave or fridge in the room. There was a coffee maker but no condiments to go with it. Camden is a charming place to stay and the High Tide Inn is right on the ocean shore, which probably explains the rates. But if Marc wants to make this place work, he needs to do some work on the place. "
