'I checked in and was given a room that was infested with roaches. I was given a different room that still had roaches and when i asked the older lady at the office if they had roach spray she seemed annoyed, she looked but couldnt find any. I ended up spending an extra $20 on bug spray and duct tape for their room. The rooms weren't the cleanest either. There was a open outlet behind the bed which was just a hole in the wall (thats what the duct tape was for). Waking up to roaches on the pillows...

'The property up front and on one side seamed to be kept up. On the back side if the property it was a dump. Trash pilled high by a outbuilding. Also, trash pilled up in the corners of the walkways. 'We loved the Union. It wasn't our first time there and it never disappoints. We had the largest room on the 3rd floor with a 180 degree view and amazing original furniture from the early 1900s. The only small complaint is that the king sized bed could use a new mattress. We didn't sleep well because it was pretty bad, but don't let this discourage you from staying there. Maybe they will read this and put a new mattress on the bed. :)'
