The owner/host, Carl, greeted us on our arrival to explain all the features the cabin has to offer. He cares deeply about his cabins as can be seen by the detail of wood craftsmanship he has filled them with and along with strategically placed lighting that add that extra whimsical touch...it's wonderful. 'My husband and I have stayed here 2 years in a row for our anniversary. It’s is wonderful and secluded. We enjoy the view and love sitting out by the river/creek. We don’t ever have to bring anything. There are even all items to cook with. We will def be back! '

'This beautifully appointed studio in the basement of an older home is spacious enough for two people. Charming rooms with stone walls and wood beams, beautiful linens, a functional --but small, note no stove/oven --kitchen. Located conveniently just a few minutes off the main road in Tryon. (Note, tough to find the first time at night, so don't check in after dark.) Really a delightful place to stay, I hope to be back.'

'This was our second time staying at The Bird's Nest Cabin. We loved it. The space was cozy and clean. We were taking our daughter to camp and this was just the right space for us to enjoy the weekend. She was so excited to play on the playground again and adventure on the trail behind our cabin. 'The grounds were beautiful! The tents were spaced out, but not so far that they didn't give a community feel. My boys really enjoyed the river access. It was shallow and easy to get to. Everything was well maintained and the grounds were very clean! I definitely recommend this place. It was an awesome experience.'

'We were looking for a handicap accessible home for our family, 2 dogs and 82 year old mother. This home fit the bill! The home is well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We loved the peaceful gated community and all of beautiful deer. Would stay here again. '
