'I loved how they had a kitchenette and a loft bed, and the little space is so unique! I love how you can hear all the birdies and we even heard a Kookaburra! One thing I would recommend is some renovations especially in the bathroom and the couch was quite stained and smelled from the humidity. Staff were so friendly'

'Great location, good size townhouse for family stays. Parking options are good and reasonably close to room. Check in not the best experience - no one available upon check in time - office closed, keys not left out so no access to room - called the manager a bunch of times with no answer. Received a message back about an hour later, stating that a groundsmen would get the keys and leave them out…. Unprofessional management, but a great stay none the less'

'We enjoyed a relaxing, peaceful and comfortable stay at Mt Cotton Retreat. Sue was a pleasure to deal with and kind enough to offer us a complimentary upgrade to a superior room in the Boutique Hotel. The forest surroundings are beautiful and we enjoyed the indoor/outdoor areas where we could chill out and/or eat our meals. A comfortable bed, large bathroom and mid cons in our room made for a great stay. Thank you!'

'Well located but pricey for what it offered. Managed by local real estate office who gave unhelpful advice like BYO toilet paper, teabags and salt and pepper- all these were in fact provided but added to unnecessary costs and hassles in terms of what we needed to bring to the island.'
