'Smells like smoke throughout. Had to change rooms. Floors were not clean and the building itself is in bad shape.'

'We had a prepaid reservation. When we arrived there was a note on a closed hotel door saying “ sorry, no vacancy. If made a reservation we will refund you”. Still waiting for an apology on a graduation weekend in a university town and my refund + the difference what I had to pay in a last minute reservation in a hotel. '

'The rooms were new and fresh and clean and staff top notch. Beds comfy. Parking plentiful. Loved the welcome with cookies to welcome Michigan State University grads and families. All around great! And saved us when we had to cancel our three rooms for family at the Red Roof Inn in Lansing - dirty, cigarette smokers running desk, trailer of cats in the pothole parking lot, place in complete disrepair. Crowne Plaza IHG saved us and then some. Also had a great - but a tad pricey - buffet...

'I liked that it was close to the location I was visiting. The room was very comfortable and easy to get to, close the parking. I like that we didn’t have to pay for parking. It was included. I like that it was quiet.'

'Super nice staff. I found this place after a paid booking was cancelled at another hotel. A little further out that I would like but it was worth it. I got to check out some local bars in Charlotte. A big shout out to Frank. He checked me in and the other staff was very friendly. If you want something clean, inexpensive and not a bad drive to MSU, check out this place.'

'The staff were lovely and the hotel was beautiful. The breakfast isn't free, but I had a yummy dinner there one of the nights and found the price very reasonable (plus there are food places in the same parking lot and across the street). An easy drive to MSU.'

'Avoid this hotel at all costs. The hotel looked like it was abandoned. The exterior was damaged and poorly maintained. The hallways smelled of marijuana and the drop ceiling in the hallway had holes. I thought we were on candid camera at first. It seriously looked like an abandoned hotel from a movie. I consider the money lost a donation to Expedia.'

'The staff was friendly and helpful. We were very well accommodated, and we enjoyed our staff immensely. It was great to be so close to the Lansing Shuffle and downtown restaurants (go to Strange Matter - totally worth the walk for good coffee, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and even better people!).'

'I did not get to check-in until 7pm even though check in was at 3 pm. The room was very dirty, refrigerator, sheets, hotel towels had Blood on them so did the couch and beds. I took pictures of everything. Worst hotel ever and they did not refund me my money. They told me a family lived there for 4 months until there house was built and they did the best they could. I am very upset.'
