'What a lovely home and property. Very clean, comfy, and well appointed. It is very close to some local hotspots and a beautiful high side hill view of the river. The barn on the property adds to the overall country charm of this place. My wife and I will be back. '

'For the cost of what we paid for the rental, it was fantastic. It has 2 great outdoor spaces, with a top and lower deck. It is small, but enough space for what we needed. It needs a few simple things, that I noticed others mention, like more towels. We are 60 guest and had to maneuver to get up the outdoor steps and to get in to the high ledge bath tub/showers. We found the furniture and beds comfortable. The kitchen had just about anything you could use, but a big pot to boil spaghetti. We...

'The stay was relaxing and tucked away up on the top of the mountain. Everything we needed to cook and we enjoyed the warm welcome with a bottle of wine & chocolate. The deck was my favorite part, plenty of room and comfortable patio furniture, our puppy loved the plush woods and the small trail to a picnic area. You definitely need a vehicle to climb ruff terrain, steep hills, and sharp turns. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway, thank you Matt and Chris!'

'Our family stayed for graduation weekend. We enjoyed the gorgeous Mountain View’s and the lovely house. The house was accessible to my 86 year old father in law, who had a room and bathroom on ground level. '

'Such a unique experience. Gave a weekend stay to my family of boys who love The Hobbit and anything adventure. The set up inside is so cozy and we loved having the fireplace outside. They really thought of everything to make our winter stay cozy and enjoyable. Enjoyed being close to the ski slopes as well so great location for that and some good restaurants nearby but feel somewhat secluded when you’re at the house which was nice. '

'This North Carolina rental was the perfect quiet, rural escape! We absolutely loved the peaceful surroundings and found it to be a truly relaxing getaway. The hot tub was a plus. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind. '

'The location of this property is unmatched. The check-in process was seamless & the unit was very clean and tidy. Only note of caution I would add for other guests is that the walls are pretty thin between this unit & the one downstairs. '

'Nice and comfortable, very quiet place, not have to worry about noise neighbors, the amenities were great, even though we don’t have cell service they prive WiFi making sure you’re always connected!!.'

'I didn’t want to leave I loved it so much!! Beautiful house, beautiful scenery and beautiful host. I can’t wait to go back and relax on the porch. '

'The cabin is absolutely beautiful! Mountain stream runs beside cabin and is so peaceful to sit on balcony and hear the running stream! Deer constantly grazing within feet of cabin waiting for you to feed them corn! The owner is so nice and helpful! I was excited to find this beautiful cabin for a little R&R and can’t wait to go back! Hottub on deck off master bedroom very clean and relaxing to sit in and enjoy watching the wildlife'

Pleasant MCM motel

"One night stay here after staying at their sister hotel in Raleigh. The property itself is fine but no atmosphere compared to Raleigh. Easy parking, clean and comfortable room. Not much to do within walking distance, except a burger takeaway. We tried to walk to a nearby microbrewery. It should've been a 5 minute walk, but we found it impossible to cross the 6-lane highway in front of the motel so gave up and went back to our room. Maybe, as Europeans, we're not used to the American way of driving everywhere, but to visit a brewery, walking would seem a safer option. Pleasant enough motel but not sure we'd return."
