'Very comfortable and welcoming place! A real hidden gem not too far away from the city. The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!'

'I initially booked this hotel for 4 nights, but ended up extending my stay to 8 — and honestly, I would have stayed even longer. I stay in a lot of hotels and tend to be fairly picky, but this was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself was spotless, modern, and very well maintained. I especially appreciated the free breakfast each morning, the 24-hour coffee bar, free parking, and the ample EV chargers available...

'Loved everything! Never done B&B and I think I was spoiled. Spacious room, Nice bed, pillows, lighting, t.v, jacuzzi tub, or shower and an eclectic mix of items and paintings/photos to look at. Also you will not get breakfast like that at a hotel. Served when YOU are ready to eat. My kind of place. Martin and Petra are kind and direct hosts. If they were all like this I would NEVER stay in a hotel again.'

'Great host, Rose cares about her guests you can tell that right away. The room we stayed in was beautiful, the cleanest I think I’ve ever stayed in and it was fully stocked with soaps, coffee & even makeup wipes for my wife. Rose accommodated dietary restrictions for our breakfast no problem. The perfect place to stay for couples visiting Port Hope and looking for something a bit more special than a hotel. Summertime would be even better. '

'Location was very good near to highway 401 staff was very good but the room was not good after closed all the curtains to much light was coming in the room and bed was very old and not comfortable we couldn't sleep even 3 hours on that bed'
