Our hostess, Marzia, allowed us to store our bags while we waited for check in time to approach. She provided us with a map and many recommendations for dining upon check in and pointed out locations to take pictures. 'Our stay was atypical in that we were sStill off season and the only ones there. Still the owner was attentive to our wishes snd very accommodating, even allowing us to stay in the garden way past check out time. The villa is gracious and i think dates from the early renaissance. The surrounding olive groves and vineyards are beautiful and the old trees in the garden very appealing. We had a lovely stay in a gorgeous, peaceful and unique place and the ceramics museum in montelupo was superb. '

'Very nice, spacious, clean room in a large apartment with a communal kitchen / dining area. Host was very nice and came once I rang the telephone number on the door. I had chosen a room with a balcony, but had little use for it as arrived after dark. It is a surprisingly long climb if you are walking up to San Miniato, so leave plenty of time! Would definitely stay again.'
