'Great place!'

'This lodge is a one-of-a-kind 'hidden gem'! Location is peaceful, scenic & close to town & to historic New Salem. The two-story lobby is awesomely rustic with historical artifacts and numerous mounted 'deer heads'. There is a nice restaurant/bar on-site. The 'standard room' we stayed in was comfortable. Compliments to the manager for helpful information on the area & tour of the larger 'unique' suites at this lodge.'

'Skip this hotel. Room was outdated and dirty. Mold in the shower, a lot of hair on the floor in the bathroom, dirty mirror, counter and sink. The carpet was filthy, the air conditioner and mini fridge were both dirty. The sofa had stains on it and I had to put a towel on it to sit on it and there wasn't a coffee table in the room as shown in the picture. The window in the room was covered with a white film that covered the majority of the window. The pool has been closed for "repairs" for three...

'The hotel was dirty, the room door did not close unless you used the bolt. Staff was rude when we asked about breakfast and no coffee. I’m surprised Expedia even has this hotel on their website!!!'
