'Great historic hotel right on the river bank. The room was nice with a good size bathroom. The bed was a bit soft for our taste, but otherwise comfortable. There is not really a lot of shelve space, so if you're not travelling light, you might struggle to unpack. Every room has a nice terras. The pool is clean, but unheated. Breakfast is at The Mermaid Cafe, 2 door down from the hotel, and it can get very busy there later in the morning. Come early if you want a guaranteed table. Coffee and tea...

'Hebben een meer dan fantastische verblijf van drie dagen gehad in dit hotel. Mooie supergrote kamer met alles erop en eraan. Heerlijke bedden, grote badkamer en verder een meer dan prima zwembad. Maaltijden zijn exclusief en wel relatief duur. Hebben dus ook wat uit de supermarkt gehaald. Maar 'over all'is dit een fantastisch hotel!!'

'Wat een heerlijk hotel. Al is een hotel niet het juiste woord want je voelt je er gelijk thuis! Wat een heerlijk verblokf hebben we gehad. De kamer is knus en warm ingericht, bijna romatisch te noemen. Het ontbijt, wauw! Twee dames maken elke dag wat lekkers en alles super vers. Heerlijk gewoon. Het zwembad voor de deur is schoon, netjes en wordt keurig schoongemaakt elke ochtend. Dat de locatie echt twee stappen naar het strand is, is natuurlijk perfect. 'Despite the middle of the night fire alarm drill, we had a great stay. It would have been nice to receive some kind of communication about what happened (and maybe complimentary drinks or something?) after that occurred. Otherwise, the hotel and beach were a great short getaway! '
