'Our stay had a few positives and a few drawbacks. The highlight was definitely the beautiful lake view. However, the room itself felt quite dated. The carpet is showing its age, and the heat register in the bathroom was noticeably rusty, which took away from the overall cleanliness feel. We had indicated there would be five guests, but the room really only accommodated four comfortably. With some updates and better attention to guest needs, this could be a better experience.'

'individual cabins, ours was clean, parking wasn't ideal but it worked, never met or saw the staff except for one cleaning person, overall experience was OK for a really small town close to Badlands National Park'

'I was headed to Grand Isle for a birding trip and stayed overnight in Golden Meadow as the hotels on the Island were expensive and most wouldn't book a one night stay. Southern Breeze Lodge was perfect in every way, from the friendly ladies in the office to the clean room, comfortable beds, and convenience of having a gas station, GoBears Grocery and Noble Roman's Pizza all within walking distance of the lodge! I recommended it to all my fellow birders and will definitely stay there again.'
