'Beautiful, brand new studio apartment that looks exactly like the photos. The complex, Village at Montclair, is also impressive: it's newly built, upscale, and includes a pool, gym, lounges, and nicely designed outdoor spaces. The unit was quiet. The host was responsive by message and kindly offered early check in. The location worked well for us, about a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute drive to Claremont.Unfortunately, the check in process was frustrating. The address provided on the VRBO app led...

'The host failed to ensure that I received my check-in instructions prior to my stay. I arrived at midnight and was unable to access the room. I sat in the hallway for an hour while the vrbo customer service team tried at least 3 different times to get a hold of the host. Ultimately I was unable to access the rental unit and had to find other accommodations at 1 in the morning. This was after I spent 10 hours driving and was utterly exhausted.'

'Was cancelled on 30 minutes before arriving only because I had to reach out and ask why I didn’t receive any info on check in.'

'Communication with the host was awful. Just a couple of examples; 18 hours to respond when communicating about check in. The refrigerator was not cooling and beeping every 60 seconds and all night long. We reached out to the host and his response was “that’s strange”. His repair was to message 2 days later “is it still beeping”. This was after we were told by Vrbo that he was sending someone to fix it. Needless to say it was never fixed.'

'Amenities and pics of the rooms were accurate. We could not access the laundry room despite contacting the host about it. Neighbors smoked a lot of marijuana which wafted into the hallway and into the living room of the condo we were in. Lots of outside noise at night. Beds weren’t super comfortable. Would consider adding a Keurig K Cup coffee pot instead of a drip model.'
