'We were expecting to stay in a 1 bedroom cottage not a room There was no kitchen just a cupboard with a sink and a microwave so no room to be able to cook There was no bed as such just a futon because the room was so small we had to put it together and collapse it every day I was glad to come home'

'This house was perfect for me, my husband and my sister. We were at a lunch party on Haying Island and we were able to easily drive to Sheffield Park in the light. The parking was so convenient and the cottage was extremely well equipped, not that we needed a washing machine. I would unhesitatingly recommend it. 'Exactly as described. A lovely English cottage in rural surroundings, but close to all the amenities of Hurstpierpoint and a short drive from Brighton. Comfortable living and dining rooms, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Loved the crisp white linen sheets, the huge bath towels and the nice hot showers. Toys and books for our 4 year old grandson, lovely artwork on the walls, we felt totally at home and loved staying here. We felt as though the hosts really cared about us and hadn’t skimped...

'We spent a lovely few days at Lychgate Cottage. We did find it a bit difficult to locate the property once in the village and didn’t have a telephone number to contact the owners or Vrbo. The cottage was very cosy and equipped with everything we could want and more. We were supplied with lots of essentials on arrival (ie tea, coffee, bread , milk etc) and more. Anthony and Marilyn welcomed us on arrival and Marilyn showed us around the cottage. Henfield is a small village only about 5 minutes...

'The cottage has an awesome history. Enough space for a family of four. A great back yard to play in. The hostess, Sara, was super kind and had a lot of knowledge about the surroundings and history. Everything you can think of is available: a baby bed, a gate to close of the garden, enough cutlery, bottle opener, washing machine… everything! The location is super. We could travel to all castles and touristic locations within an hour. Would definetely recommend this place!'
